As an organisation, STL has a strong environmental ethos and has actively made significant changes to business procedures so that they operate in a more environmentally friendly way whenever possible. STL is a carbon neutral supplier and has now joined Co-Caa, an organisation that recognises organisations that have made a commitment to reduce their CO2 footprint.

Phil Donigan, STL’s sales director, commented, “We have made significant progress in our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and become even greener. The environment is a key part of STL’s ethos and is embraced by all our staff. Membership of CoCaa is another way of demonstrating that we have measured our greenhouse gas emissions and have reduced them through internal change.”

The Carbon Offset and Climate Awareness Association was founded as a non profit making association to represent the interests of its members by promoting and providing solutions to help reduce their carbon footprint. Nick Thomas, Co-Caa chairman, concludes, “Each of our members will have a number of trees planted within the UK on unique plot numbers helping to create, manage and protect new woodlands and habitats. All our carbon offset projects are UK based and audited, helping to increase the general awareness surrounding the issue of climate change and CO2 emissions to businesses.”
