STL Communications has purchased new video conferencing equipment using a grant from Sustainable Routes. The upgraded system will enable STL employees to hold face to face meetings by video rather than driving or flying.
The new Polycom system was purchased with a match funded grant of £1000 from Sustainable Routes, a SEEDA funded grant for businesses in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire or Milton Keynes with up to 250 employees who want to reduce their business travel.
Phil Donigan, STL’s sales director commented, ”As an organisation STL has a strong green ethos and we are always looking at ways to cut down on travel, so using the grant to buy new video conferencing equipment is helping us to achieve these environmentally friendly goals.”
STL is offering free use of their video conferencing facility in Witney to other local businesses in an effort to help Oxfordshire businesses work greener. Subscribers to GreenMinutes, STL’s eco friendly telephone calls initiative, also have free use of this facility as part of the eco features within the package.
