STL Communications' GreenMinutes was the runner up in the Federation of Communication Services (FCS) Green Award 2011. The FCS Industry Awards 2011 were presented by TV personality John Sergeant at the FCS 30th anniversary event on 16 June in London.

Each of the awards was judged by a panel of industry players and representatives from the regulator or academia. STL demonstrated innovation in the competitive world of UK communications services with GreenMinutes, their environmental telephone calls initiative. By offsetting the carbon cost of telephone calls and encouraging organisations to work greener with a number of eco features, GreenMinutes is playing an active role in helping organisations to meet their environmental objectives.

Brendon Cross, STL’s managing director, says “An industry award such as this is testament to STL’s ethos to help the environment and to assist others to do so with GreenMinutes. We have over 500 GreenMinutes customers already who are offsetting their carbon phoneprint.”
